Art has the ability to change lives.

My name is Marina Caspe. I graduated with a BA in visual arts and a BA in educational studies from Roger Williams University, and am about to finish my Masters in ceramics at The Royal College of Art in London. My research passions are pottery and sculpture and I've been inspired by the work of Chris Guston. The Bowl that Keeps on Giving is a community-based experiential project that connects the university community with a social justice issue. Many of us are fortunate enough to have ample amounts of food, water, and access to proper nutrients. There are many more that are unable to feed their children with nutrients and the proper foods to grow strong and healthy. Through the buying and selling of art pieces, we are one step closer to finding a solution.

Through my research of visual art and education, I have emerged into a world in which I have found peace. I have a passion for the arts. Through my education, I have learned how to share my passion with others and have found that this is where I belong. We all mindlessly purchase items such as ceramic bowls and necklaces in admiration of the beautiful passion that created these objects. Let us now admire art and donate to those in need. I guarantee that you will appreciate the art more than you ever imagined.

I have been creating pottery for over 8 years now. Falling in love with clay happened quickly and unexpectedly. I find it easiest to communicate through my hands. My pieces speak for themselves. The creation of ceramics is a wondrous process. I create many objects, so many that I would never imagine keeping them all, nor would want to keep them all for myself. I find satisfaction in giving them to others. Knowing that people now have a little piece of me in their kitchen for their tea, or in their bedroom to hold their rings brings me the utmost joy.

So, let me share this feeling with you. Any and all donations of art are greatly appreciated. Let us share the beauty of art and change lives.
